@bakedplissken74534 years ago This keyboard is great, it's got enough tactile feel for me. The gummy bear keys feels premium. I switched from a Red Dragon Kumara, which I also really liked but was way too loud for quiet night time sessions. The only drawback is that the space and shift keys are starting to squeak a little bit, I'm gonna try lubricating them in the near future and I wish the feet were as good as the Kumara. I don't really care for RGB so I don't mind that it's not the best, I'm able to tell the keys apart in the dark so that's good enough. Also I wish it was available in 80% like the Kumara. Glad I came across this video, the keyboard is almost exactly what I was looking for. ... 31

@rolfathan4 years ago I actually got a red dragon keyboard with slim outemu switches, and while far from silent, it is a lot more quiet than most mech keyboards. At around $60, I think it was one of the better compromises between if you want quiet, mech, and budget. ... 13

@onceuponatimetherewasalong75933 years ago The keyboard is wobbling with him because of his disk, I'm typing with it now and there's no wobble and the keyboard actually feels sturdy and solid. It's also extremely quiet that I can barely notice it, when I have earphones in without anything playing I can't hear it at all. I've had a mechanical blue switch and that thing has become too much with time. ... 3

@cherry_bombs30673 years ago same thing as Baked Plissken except this is my first keyboard and im looking at upgrading to the Royal Kludge RK84. this keyboard takes up a lot of the space on my desk and i wish this was an 80%. i dont even use the keypad. my spacebar and shift key are also squeaky and it gets annoying. i wish the RGB was a bit brighter. i didnt do much research about keyboards or this specific one before buying this keyboard and i regret not doing so. its a nice starter keyboard for the budget and its great for when youre working tho. ...

@lostconciousness42552 years ago hmm, this is odd, this keyboard looks EXACTLY like my S107-1 (purchased on amazon June 2022). @ My keyboard even has the same lighting issue where the RGB doesn't illuminate the entire keys properly. It seems Red Dragon thought they were slick and rebranded the K509 to s107 because the original s107 was a decent keyboard and thought they could bait and switch people. ...

@deenanathmaurya15122 years ago Hey Building a New Fresh PC. Just want to enter in BIOS , Monitor is Displaying as Pres Ctrl+Alt+Del By Using this keyboard Ctrl+Alt+Del is not allowing to enter in BIOS to check the H/W details and select the Booting Device. BUT same time tested with already Booted up & Working PC - it works fine.
Only problem is that it not allow to use Ctrl+Alt+Del & F1-F12 keys to Select BIOS or Boot Device. Once PC is Booted then it works fine.
Please HELP to resolve this issue.

    @GoranMrganic4 years ago Hey!
The $10 keyboard that I have is also silent.
    It's also a membrane keyboard.
And RGB on it are seriously lacking as well.

@DrZygote2142 years ago I got this exact keyboard a few days ago. I will compare it to my previous keyboard, the Logitech K120.
The feel is slightly worse and more difficult. I think you depress the keys the same distance, however its slightly more difficult. Also, when trying to push down at an angle (think the a or tab key), it is MUCH more difficult. This can cause you to miss keystrokes when typing. However the arrow keys feel more tolerant of angled depressions.
The "silent keyboard" is a lie. This is about as noisy as the K120, maybe slightly less noisy. The type of noise is different tho and maybe softer. But the spacebar sometimes has a metallic "twang" to it that i don't like.
The numlock and other lock lights are red, not green. This is stupid. They should be green or else match the backlight color you chose.
The RGB effects are dumb, except for the static color. The animated colors are stupid and will only distract you, but i really like the static colors. My favorites are cyan and green, but i also use white sometimes. This is very helpful at night in a dark room. However, there's still a problem. When staring at your screen, you can notice a slight scintillating effect out of the peripheral vision near the bottom of your eye. So i turned down the keyboard brightness as far as it will go, but it's actually still fairly bright even on the lowest setting (this is relative to a dark room, in daytime it will look very dim). But when turning down brightness all the way, the scintillating effect in your peripheral vision is gone or 99.9% gone so at least that's good.
The keys are a little too tall. I'm used to the Logitech K120 which has shorter keys plus a raised perimeter around the area, so my palm would rest on that a little bit. But now my palm sometimes accidentally hits the bottom keys cuz they are kinda tall.
The scroll lock button doesn't work. That's weird but thankfully i never use that thing.
I don't know what actually makes this a "gaming keyboard", but the G+O+D keys do register simultaneously. The Logitech K120 does not do that, which was why i needed a new keyboard, for an old game i wanted to enabled god mode lol.
My purpose is coding, writing/typing, and a little bit of gaming but just halo 1 and older games mostly. So far i have stuck with this keyboard for two days and i am getting used to it. I like it but also don't like it. For ergonomics the K120 is better and i might switch back to it and refund this one. Haven't decided yet. I really want a cool RGB lighted keyboard tho just for static colors, it's very good to have at night.
PS does anyone know what is all this talk about mechanical vs membrane? I don't know what those mean. To me this one feels a little more difficult than the K120.
Finally, keep in mind, everything i said is RELATIVE to the Logitech K120. If you have a different keyboard right now, this RedDragon might be better, might be worse, sadly you just never really know.
