This is a Sentry-Turret I build in Garry's Mod today. Since the turrets I build with wheels always sucked I took a different approach and used wired hydraulics instead to move the turret in the different directions. I only used the basics tools provided by Wiremod, no programming in E2 or anything. I'm still a beginner so the wires are a bit messy, but I'm very pleased with the result. It's very fast and accurate. If someone is interested, I can provide the Adv.-Duplicator file, just leave a comment. It might be interesting if you are just starting of with wiremod, since there are a lot of different techniques involved to control the turret and prevent it from getting screwed. For reference (and since the upload still takes some time ;-)) here's a list of things I used: Basic arithmetic-gates (add, multiply, identity), Sign gate, If-then-else-gate, Increment/Decrement, Square-Pulse-Timer, Logic gates (especially Not), Target Finder, Beacon Sensor, Gyroscope, Wired Turret, Wired Hydraulics. Systems implemented are: Correlated increase/decrease of hydraulics length (based on Beacon-Data); Safety controls to prevent the turret from turning too far and messing up the hydraulics; Automaticly find a new target if current one moves out of the covered area; Movement speeds of the turret are correlated to how far off the aim is (the larger, the faster - allowing for more precise aiming); some sound effects, status lamp. This should cover it, and the upload is complete anyway, so enjoy. :-)
