HAND EMBROIDERY:Latest Nakshi kantha stitch tutorial#16 সহজ কাঁথার নকশার ডিজাইন, আধুনিক কাঁথা টিউটোরিয়াল Hello! Today you will learn how to embroider Nakshi kantha. Nakshi kantha, a type of embroidered quilt, is a centuries-old Bengali art tradition of the Indian subcontinent, notable in Bangladesh and Indian states of West Bengal and Tripura. The basic material used is thread and old cloth. Nakshi kanthas are made throughout Bangladesh, but the greater Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Faridpur and Jessore areas are most famous for this craft. The colourful patterns and designs that are embroidered resulted in the name "Nakshi Kantha",which was derived from the Bengali word "naksha", which refers to artistic patterns.[7] The early kanthas had a white background accented with red, blue and black embroidery; later yellow, green, pink and other colours were also included. The running stitch called "kantha stitch" is the main stitch used for the purpose.[8] Traditionally, kantha was produced for the use of the family. Today, after the revival of the nakshi kantha, they are produced commercially. nokshi katha, nakshi kantha, Bangladeshi nakshi kantha, bangladeshi nakshi kantha design, bangla nakshi kantha design, How to Make Bangladeshi nakshi kantha design Part-1, Hand eembroidery Nakshi Kantha Design Video ,Latest Bangladeshi nakshi kantha, How to Make, nokshi katha dizain, নকশি কাঁথা, নকশী কাঁথা ডিজাইন, , বাংলাদেশি নকশী কাথার ডিজাইন, नक्षी कंध सिलाई, How to Make Bangladeshi nakshi kantha design, Latest Nakshi Kantha Design drawing tutorial,New nokshi khatha design, Latest Nakshi Kantha Design drawing tutorial, How to drawing make nakshi kantha, Nokshi kathar noksha design, Nakshi kantha design art tutorial, Simple easy nakshi kantha design, design drawing tutorial, Pencil drawing nakshi kantha, How to drawing nakshi kantha design, how to make nakshi kantha, Rup Handicraft nakshi kantha design, নকশীকাঁথার নকশা ডিজাইন, কিভাবে কাঁথা আঁকতে হয়, নকশীকাঁথার ফুল, Latest Nakshi Kantha Design drawing tutorial 132, How to drawing\/make nakshi kantha, नोक्षी कथा डिजाइन, নকশী কাথার ছবি, नोक्षी कथा डिजाइन, नक्षी कथर डिजाइन ट्यूटोरियल, nakshi kantha design for beginners, nakshi kantha Ner Trick design tutorial, nakshi kantha desing 2018, hand drawing design, new nakshi kantha, নকশী কাথার ছবি আকা, 01) Etymology : the word kantha originated from the Sanskrit word kontha, which means rags, as kantha is made of rags. 02) Tradition: Like any other folk art, kantha making is influenced by factors such as materials available, daily needs, climate, geography, and economic factors 03) In literature: The famous Bengali poet Jasimuddin also had a very famous poem 'Nakshi Kanthar Math' on Nakshi Kantha. 04) Making: Traditionally old sarees, lungis and dhotis were used to make kanthas. Kantha making was not a full-time job. Women in almost every household were expert in the art. Rural women worked at leisure time or during the lazy days of the rainy season, so taking months or even years to finish a kantha was normal. At least five to seven sarees were needed to make a standard-size kantha. Today the old materials are replaced by new cotton cloths. Traditionally the thread was collected from the old sarees. That is rarely done today.
