L'Autre Académie, Lumières d'Europe

The Académie LUMIÈRES D'EUROPE is a free european music academy based on in the spirit of European Enlightenment. Internationally renowned musicians and young talented from all over Europe and more explore together the great chamber music repertoire during three sessions of about ten days each in a spirit of sharing and openness. The teaching allows for an exchange on an artistic level that goes beyond instrumental considerations. The Académie Lumières d’Europe offers a cross-disciplinary ap- proach to education, covering a wide range of subjects: literature, history of thought, philosophy and science. Lumières d'Europe must be accessible to all possible talents, regardless of their economic situation. The financial aspect must not be a limiting nor a selective factor. Therefore, Lumières d'Europe covers the costs of the students' education within the academy.
