Economic vs Economical

Although the two words 'economic' and 'economical' seem to have the same meaning, they are completely different and they are used in different situations. 'Economic' refers to the financial situation of a person or country. 'Economic' has several meanings. It refers to something cheap or a person who is thrifty and tends to save money or other things. The expression 'economical with the truth' means to avoid telling the whole truth; to conceal a part of the truth.
