Variant Lucifer VS Mirage Fafnir and Rage Longinus! As we promised in our unboxing, we’re going to put Variant Lucifer to the test and battle against not only Rage Longinus, but Mirage Fafnir, too! You may have seen from our test battles that Variant Lucifer actually does pretty well against left-spinning Beys. The 2D gimmick isn’t as effective against right-spinning Beys, but the rubber blades help equalize spin in opposite spin battles. In the anime, Longinus has a hard time breaking through Lucifer’s barrier and it’s crazy to see that the results are similar in real life. The monster upper attacks that Rage Longinus is so good at is practically completely negated from the 2D Chassis. Variant Lucifer even takes on both Longinus and Fafnir at the same time and manages to win a few rounds while getting double teamed, so it’s pretty impressive! Lean was able to beat BOTH Lui and Free at one point in the anime, so he's one of the strongest Bladers around. Let us know what you BBGs think of Variant Lucifer!
