Hey, everybody! You know when you were a little kid and your folks told you not to take anything from strangers? Well, this is a little lesson in what happens when you’re WAY too trusting of someone who you think is your friend but would pry your sheet music and your guitar from your cold, dead fingers if given the chance. XD Poor old Hector learned this the hard way. In all seriousness, I’m happy to upload my first collab in 2020 with the wonderful Florelina59. Flore gave me the opportunity to collab with her in this pivotal scene in which Hector, an outcast in the Land of the Dead, remembers his last moments with Ernesto de la Cruz, his former partner and one of the most celebrated musicians in history, a little differently after Miguel, the protagonist recites a line from a de la Cruz film: “I would move heaven and earth for you, mi amigo.” Before long, it all comes back to Hector as to why he never made it home…Why he is being forgotten while Ernesto still is worshipped in both worlds…and why he faces fading into oblivion, never to see his beloved Coco again. I know I’ve said this before, but Flore is a lady of many talents. She can play so many different characters in different languages, and each of them as brilliantly as the last. I am very thankful to have such a kind, supportive, patient and all-around awesome friend like her. I am also really honored to play beside her Ernesto in this scene. She really takes my breath away. ;) Though, I’m gonna put my drinks out of sight from now on. Just for safety’s sake. XD If you haven’t done so already, please subscribe to her channel. She is phenomenal! Thank you so much!
