How to Poke Holes in a Heat Exchanger HVAC Life

On a heating service, you should check heat exchangers to make sure they are in good condition and do not need to be replaced. I am checking to see if the metal is getting thinned out by rust. I try to poke a screwdriver through the rust spots.
